Realtor 

This service is FREE to buyers. So take advantage of bieng represented especially when buying new construction.  Always go with your Realtor on the first visit. 

Lender

There is no cost to get pre approved for a loan. Getting pre-approved is always the first step of the process. A lender can even tell you what to do if you would like to plan ahead. 

Down Payment

You should save about 3%-20% of the purchase price for your down payment unless you are a Veteran using a VA loan or a first time homebuyer using a downpayment assistant program. 

Closing Costs

In addition to your down payment there are Closing costs which are the fees for the process of buying the home. Expect 3-6% of the purchase price. There are some loan programs that help with this but not every situation qualifies.
